MARION (WSIL) -- Pro Baseball will be back in Marion this summer. Opening Day is June first and Manager Mike Pinto and the Southern Illinois Miners have their calendar circled.
"When we have June 1 happen, it will be 639 days since our fans have been able to cheer on the Miners," Pinto said. "It's been a long time. A long time for our fans, long for our players and coaches. I've got players, my phone is buzzing every day, I'm getting videos from guys while they are working out. They are chomping at the bit to get back."
