BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Saluki women fell just short of a win at Saturday's softball match against the LSU Tigers.
Round two of the NCAA Softball Tournament saw a tough game for the Salukis. The final score came out to 4-1.
The Salukis put up quite the fight, though. The team managed to keep LSU from scoring a single point in the second and fourth innings thanks to pitchers Maddia Groff and Madi Eberle, respectively.
Fan favorite Emma Grace Austin stole her 24th base of the season in the match as well.
Can’t teach that kind of speed 🤷♀ singles & takes second with her 24th stolen base of the season!

In the top of the sixth, Rylie Hamilton managed an impressive out against the Tigers in a sliding catch of the ball.
