Rain Chances

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- The southerly breeze will stick around overnight. This will keep low temperatures very warm. Lows will only dip into the 60s Wednesday morning. It definitely won't feel like an October morning.

The tight pressure gradient will keep the warm and windy conditions around through Wednesday. High temperatures will rise back into the low 80s during the afternoon, with southerly winds gusting between 25 and 30 mph.聽

All eyes are still on Halloween. Our next cold front will move through, bringing rain and storms. The good news is, the better rain chances look to be during the morning for most of the region. Rain will move from west to east, and should begin to clear during the afternoon. There is a chance a few showers impact trick-or-treating, in parts of western Kentucky. On average, rainfall amounts will be between 0.5"-1.0".

Winds will turn out of the northwest behind the front, ranging between 10 and 15 mph. Temperatures will also be dropping back into the low 60s and upper 50s, during prime trick-or-treating hours. You may want to take a jacket if you'll be out collecting candy.聽

Cooler air settles in Friday and Saturday. High temperatures will dip back into the 60s. However, it doesn't stick around. Above average temperatures return next week.聽
