HERRIN, IL (WSIL) -- The 5th annual Gavin's Hallows Eve 5K is in remembrance of Gavin Lowe and gives back to the family of Jamir Gibbs. 

12-year-old Gavin Lowe from Herrin was killed early Christmas morning in 2019.

This year, on what would have been Lowe's 14th birthday, his family and friends want to honor his life, and give back to the community.

Family and friends are coming together to remember a local boy whose life was taken tragically on Christmas of 2019.
