The Shawnee Nation Forest has closed Snake Road for it's fall migration. The closure allows safe crossing for all species of snakes and amphibians moving to the limestone cliffs from LaRue Swamp.Â
House Bill 4821 began as an initiative led by Gentry Heiple, a 7th grader at Carterville Junior High School.
