* WHAT...Daily Heat index values up to 106.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Brick & Mortar: Milkmaid Creations and Antiques

VIENNA (WSIL) -- Take a trip back in time with an antique store in Vienna. This edition of Brick and Mortar features Milkmaid Creations and Antiques.

Emily Kerley is the shop owner and said her store sells mostly antiques and vintage pieces. She also has some newer-style items with a few products made from local vendors. Kerley also holds furniture painting classes in the back of her store.

"You bring a small piece of furniture, and then we will clean it up. We will sand it a little bit, and then we'll paint it. I use General Finishes products, but you bring the piece of furniture, you paint it, and then I clean up the mess. You don't have to do any of that," said Kerley.
