(CNN) -- More U.S. colleges and universities are canceling or changing study abroad programs because of coronavirus.

At least five universities have suspended programs in Italy, where the number of confirmed cases is over 370, including 12 deaths.

Others, including the University of Tennessee, have canceled programs in China and South Korea.

The study abroad program "Semester At Sea" is based on a cruise ship that is now re-reouting.

Hundreds of American students are on board.

After visiting Japan and Vietnam earlier this semester, the ship was due to port in Seychelles but was told it would be blocked by local officials.

The vessel is now expecting to port in Mozambique.
