CARBONDALE, ILLINOIS (WSIL) -- Many took advantage of Spring conditions to get outside and celebrate Easter early.
A parade took place in Carbondale Saturday afternoon for the holiday weekend. Family, friends and fans were invited to drive alongside.
It started at the West Town Shopping Center and ended at Prairie Living at Chautauqua.
Gary Hill, President and owner of the facility, says its the first time residents sat out collectively since last year.
Carbondale Police Department lead the parade and event officials are hoping the celebration will spread more joy in 2021.
