ELDORADO (WSIL) -- Ferrell Hospital hasn't seen any COVID-19 patients, but it is taking extra precautions.
The hospital has special procedures in place to separate patients who are exhibiting symptoms from those who aren't.
Ferrell Hospital has set up a tent in the front of the hospital where patients who need to be tested for the virus will be checked in.
"We're doing the best we can to prepare. Every day is a changing situation. This is a fluid thing that's going on. We don't know what tomorrow will hold or what new rules and regulations are going to be put out by the Illinois Department of Public Health," said Public Information Officer Lacey Harms.
The hospital has also set up a nurse triage line to help anyone concerned they may be experiencing symptoms. Those nurses will determine if you need to meet with a health care provider, face to face. That number is (618) 273-2275.
