Health departments report new Coronavirus cases

(WSIL) -- Health departments are reporting 24 new cases of COVID-19 in southern Illinois on Sunday.

Those cases are spread across Franklin, Gallatin, Jackson, Saline, White and Williamson counties.

Franklin County:

  • Females: One in their 50’s and one in their 60’s
  • Males: One in their 20’s and two in their 30’s

As of July 19, there have been 74 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19. Of these positive cases, 38 have recovered.

Gallatin County:

  • Female, in her 50’s, at home and in isolation
  • Male, in his 70’s, at home and in isolation

The Egyptian Health Department reports that Gallatin County has a total of 16 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19.

Jackson County:

  • Female: one in her sixties
  • Male: three in their twenties, and one in his forties

According to the Jackson County Health Department there have been 402 confirmed cases including 19 related deaths. Of those positive cases, 328 released from isolation and are 55 active.

Saline County:

  • Female: Two in their 30’s and Two in their 50's

Saline County has had a total of 45 lab confirmed positives.

White County:

  • Male: One under the age of 10, one in his 50's and one male in his 60's

White County has had a total of 31 lab-confirmed positives.

Williamson County:

  • Females: One in their 40’s
  • Males: One teenager, two in their 20’s, one in their 50’s

As of July 19, there have been 201 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county including four deaths. Of these positive cases, 133 have recovered.

Illinois Department of Public Health:

Illinois Health Officials are reporting 965 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday. This brings the state to 161,575 total cases.

Health officials also confirming an additional six fatalities, putting the state's death toll at 7,295 lives lost.
