(WSIL) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced 707 new cases of COVID-19, including 25 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 155,506 cases, including 7,218 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.
In southern Illinois, 16 new cases were reported Tuesday.
ALEXANDER COUNTY
- One male - 10s
There have been 25 cases in Alexander County. Eight of those cases are currently active.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
- Males: One in their 20s
- Females: One in their 20s
There have been 52 confirmed cases in Franklin County. Of those, 33 have recovered.
GALLATIN COUNTY
- One male in his 30s
Egyptian Health Department says the man is at home in isolation. This is the 8th confirmed case of COVID-19 in Gallatin County.
JACKSON COUNTY
- Females: One in her 20s, one in her 40s, and one in her 50s
Health officials say, to date, there have been 361 cases of COVID-19, including 19-related deaths, in Jackson County. Twenty-five active cases are currently being managed.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
- Female in her 20s and male in his 20s in same household
- Female in her 60s (long term care resident from a different facility than previous one reported)
- Female in her 60s
The Jefferson County Health Department says the new cases reported over the last few days "can be attributed to both recent travel and community spread." As of Tuesday, there have been 126 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County.
POPE COUNTY
- One female in her 40s
This is the second case of COVID-19 in Pope County and the only active case.
UNION COUNTY
- Females: One in her 30s
- Males: One in his 80s
Union County has had 211 cases of COVID-19, including 17 deaths. Currently, there are 52 active cases.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY
- Males: Two in their 20s
To date, there have been 168 cases of COVID-19, including four deaths in Williamson County. Of the positive cases, 131 have recovered.
IDPH says more than 28,000 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The current seven-day statewide positivity rate is 3.0%.
