Jackson County now accepting vaccine walk-ins Monday-Saturday at mass clinics

JACKSON COUNTY (WSIL) -- The Jackson County Health Department announced all Illinois residents age 16 and older are eligible to walk-in at both COVID-19 mass vaccination sites in Jackson County without an appointment.

Both the Banterra Center and Carbondale Civic Center will accept walk-ins, Monday through Friday, from 9am-6pm and Saturdays from 9am-5pm.

A first or second dose of Pfizer vaccine will be available to those walking in. Those needing a second dose should ensure it has been at least 21 days since their first dose and bring their vaccination card. Persons 16-17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Appointments are also available each day and can be booked at .

Pfizer is the vaccine offered most days to those with appointments. Those wanting Johnson & Johnson can make appointments for this Saturday, April 10 at either location.
