(WSIL) -- Both Jackson and Williamson counties in southern Illinois are on the state's COVID-19 warning list with each county nearing 1,200 total cases. This comes as the counties report additional residents with the virus on Sunday.
Franklin County:
- Females: One teenager, one in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, and two in their 50’s.
- Males: One in their 20’s, one in their 50’s, and one in their 60’s.
To date, there have been a total of 425 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19, including one death related to the virus. Of these positive cases, 271 have recovered in Franklin county.
Jackson County:
- Female: one teen, two in their 20s, two in their 40s, and one in her 50s.
- Male: one teen, one in his 30s, one in his 50s, and one in his 60s.
The Jackson County Health Department is currently monitoring 125 active cases. Health officials say the county has had 1,163 confirmed cases to date, including 24 related deaths. Of these positive cases, 1,014 individuals released from isolation in accordance with CDC guidance, including 27 released Sunday.
Saline County:
- Females: One in her 30's and two in their 50's.
- Males: One in his teens and two in their 60's.
To date, Saline County has had a total of 213 lab confirmed positives, including three deaths.
White County:
- Females: Two in their 60's.
According to the Egyptian Health Department, White County has had a total of 151 lab-confirmed positives.
Williamson County:
- Females: Three in their 20’s, two in their 30’s, one in her 40’s, one in her 50’s, one in her 60’s and one in her 100’s.
- Males: One teenager and one in his 30’s.
To date, there have been a total of 1,183 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county, including 28 deaths related to the virus. Of these positive cases, 656 have recovered in Williamson county.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Sunday announced 1,462 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease, including 14 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 261,371 cases, including 8,309 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.
