(WSIL) -- Fifty-six new cases of COVID-19 were reported in southern Illinois Tuesday.
The highest number of new cases was in Saline County. Egyptian Health Department reported 19 new cases there.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 1,531 new cases of COVID-19 in the state Tuesday, including 30 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 277,266 cases, including 8,486 deaths, in Illinois.
ALEXANDER COUNTY
- Two males in their 70s
There have been 72 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, in Alexander County. Southern Seven Health Department says 26 cases are currently active.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s, one in her 50s and one in her 60s
- Male: One in his 40s and one in his 60s
To date, there have been 501 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths, in Franklin County. Health officials say 306 of the positive cases have recovered.
GALLATIN COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s
- Male: One under the age of 10
Egyptian Health Department says each individual is at home in isolation. There have been 72 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths, in Gallatin County.
HARDIN COUNTY
- Male: One in his 20s and one in his 40s
Hardin County has had 35 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Nine of the positive cases are currently active.
JACKSON COUNTY
- One female in her 60s
To date, there have been 1,247 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County, including 24 related deaths. Sixty-five active cases are currently being managed.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
- Female: One under 12, one in her 20s and two in their 50s
- Male: One in his 30s and two in their 50s
There have been 588 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 32 deaths, in Jefferson County. The health department says 34 active cases are currently in isolation.
MASSAC COUNTY
- Female: One in her 50s
- Male: One in his 30s
Massac County has had 94 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths. Southern Seven Health Department says 31 cases are currently active.
PULASKI COUNTY
- Female: One in her 30s
- Male: One in his 40s and one in his 50s
There have been 159 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, in Pulaski County. Health officials say 24 cases are currently active.
RANDOLPH COUNTY
- 2 new cases for Tuesday, Sept. 22
Randolph County has had 934 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 11 deaths. Health officials say one person is currently hospitalized, while 59 others are recovering at home.
SALINE COUNTY
- Female: Three in their teens, one in her 30s, three in their 40s, two in their 50s and three in their 60s
- Male: Three in their 40s and four in their 60s
Egyptian Health Department reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 in Saline County Tuesday. To date, there have been 292 confirmed cases, including three deaths, in the county.
UNION COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s and one in her 30s
Union County has had 485 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 20 deaths. Southern Seven Health Department says 80 cases are currently active.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s, two in their 30s, one in her 50s, one in her 60s and one in her 90s
- Male: One in his 20s, one in his 50s and one in his 60s
In addition to nine new cases of COVID-19, Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health announced two additional deaths.
Bi-County says two women - one in her 90s and one in her 100s - passed away.
To date, there have been 1,355 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 38 deaths, in Williamson County. The health department says 751 of the positive cases have recovered.
