SPRINGFIELD (WSIL) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced more than 650 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.
According to the latest medical update, there are 658 new cases, bringing the state total to 136,762.
State health officials also reported an additional 23 fatalities, putting the state death toll at 6,647 lives lost.
The Jackson County Health Department are confirming one additional case of COVID-19 in the county. A female, in her 50's, who is believed to have acquired the disease through community spread.
That individual is now in isolation.
