New COVID-19 cases for Saturday, July 11

(WSIL) -- More than 20 new cases of COVID-19 were reported across southern Illinois Saturday.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

  • Females: One teenager, two in their 40s and one in their 60s
  • Males: One in their 30s

Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Franklin County Saturday, bringing the county's current total to 48. Of the positive cases, 18 have recovered.

GALLATIN COUNTY

  • Female in her 50s

This is the sixth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Gallatin County. The health department says the woman is at home in isolation.

JACKSON COUNTY

  • Five new cases

In a post to its Saturday, Jackson County Health Department confirmed five new cases of COVID-19 but did not give specifics. There have been 350 confirmed cases, including 19 related deaths, in the county. Currently, 26 cases are active.

WHITE COUNTY

  • Female in her 60s

Egyptian Health Department says the woman is at home in isolation. This is the tenth confirmed case of COVID-19 in White County.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

  • Female: Three in their 20s and two in their 60s
  • Males: One teenager, two in their 20s, one in their 40s and one in their 60s

There were ten new cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County Saturday. To date, there have been 157 cases, including four deaths, in the county. Health officials say 88 individuals have recovered.

As of Saturday, the (IDPH) was reporting 152,962 cases of COVID-19, including 7,168 confirmed deaths, across the state.
