Paducah restaurant asks customers to “Be patient as they adjust to new restrictions

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Kentucky Governor Andy Bershear is issuing new restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Dairyette Plus is one of many Kentucky restaurants that will be affected by Governor Beshear’s mitigation plan Friday.

From November 20th until December 13th, restaurants and bars will not be allowed to have indoor dining.

The Dairyette Plus owners said it’s been hard running their business. They became owners back in July and say the only thing that has helped them is their drive-thru.

They say cutting from more than 30 seats to 15 is a struggle and hopes customers will be understanding of the new circumstances.

"Be patient. Be patient with us. We'll get your order out as fast as we can and we'll bring them to your car and we'll pull you up to the drive-thru and run it out to you, no matter the weather," said co-owner Liam Veyer.

To help bars and restaurants local businesses will be able to apply for a grant from the CARES act fund.
