Southern Illinois health departments report 18 new cases

(WSIL) -- Health departments across southern Illinois are reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

FranklinCounty:

  • New Cases: 4
  • Total Cases: 4470
  • Total Deaths: 63

Jackson County:

  • Female: one teen, one in her twenties, and one in her thirties.

Health officials are monitoring 59 active cases. Jackson County has had 4,950 cases to date, with 72 related deaths. 4,819 individuals released from isolation, including 5 Sunday.

Saline County:

  • Female: 1 in their 20’s, 1 in their 40's

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,688 lab confirmed positives, including 53 deaths.

White County:

  • Female: 1 in their 20’s

White County has had a total of 1,770 lab-confirmed positives, including 27 deaths.

Williamson County:

  • New Cases:  8
  • Total Cases: 7523               
  • Total Deaths: 120

Illinois Department of Public Health:

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,035 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease Sunday, including 24 additional deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,321,033 cases, including 21,826 deaths across the state.

A total of 8,810,463 vaccines have been administered.
