(WSIL) -- Health departments in southern Illinois are reporting 29 new cases of the virus Sunday with more than half of those being in Williamson County.
Franklin County:
- Females: One in their 20’s, and one in their 50’s.
- Males: One in their 80’s.
To date, there have been a total of 334 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19 including one death. Of these positive cases 210 have recovered in Franklin county.
Jackson County:
- Female: One teen.
- Males: Two in their 20s, and one in his 70s.
According to the health department, 87 active cases are currently being managed. To date, there have been 924 confirmed cases including 21 related deaths. Health officials say five individuals were released from isolation Sunday, bringing total released to 816 individuals.
Saline County:
- Female: One in her 20’s, at home and in isolation.
To date, Saline County has had a total of 165 lab confirmed positives, including three deaths.
White County:
- Female: One in her 30’s, at home and in isolation.
- Males: Two in their 20's, both at home and in isolation.
According to the Egyptian Health Department, White County has had a total of 123 lab-confirmed positives.
Williamson County:
- Females: One in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, three in their 40’s, one in their 50’s, two in their 60’s, one in their 80’s and one in their 90’s.
- Males: One teenager, one in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, three in their 40’s, one in their 50’s, and one in their 80’s.
To date, there have been a total of 920 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county including 12 deaths. Of these positive cases, 482 have
recovered.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 1,992 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease, including 11 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 233,355 cases, including 8,019 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from August 23 � August 29 is 4.2%.
