(WSIL) -- As students and parents ramp up for college preparations, it's important to stay vigilant about who is getting your information. Whether you're in the SAT prep portion, or you're busy submitting college applications, your financial information could be accessed by scammers. Another issue can be phishing phone calls, which can include everything from someone pretending to supply prep packages - to someone pretending to be with a university board, all to get your personal information.

Better Business Bureau's Regional Director, Sydney Waters, has some tips to protect yourself and your students during prep time.
