The Southern Illinois Community Foundation and WSIL have partnered together for the 5th Annual GiveSI campaign. This campaign helps raise money which goes towards local non-profits.
GiveSI helps businesses and individuals build a regional endowment, designated funds, field of interest funds, donor-advised funds or undesignated funds in order to enhance the quality of life throughout our region.
The mission is to engage the people of southern Illinois in building a tradition of philanthropy. The Southern Illinois Community Foundation is committed to creating an opportunity for donors to participate in local community development efforts to address the changing needs of our community through charitable giving.
In 2023, the total donated was more than $300,000, with a four-year grand total of $891,020.99. This money has been raised for local charities since the conception of the SICF and the News 3 partnership.Â
