...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may cause
heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

$160,000 raised in Give S.I. Campaign

(WSIL) -- The 30-hour Give S.I. Campaign has concluded and we now know how much was raised.Ìý

Byram Fager, Program Manager for the Southern Illinois Community Foundation stopped by News 3 This Morning to reveal the total amount of money raised.Ìý

Fager said as of Midnight on Tuesday, December 1st, $165,000 was raised.Ìý

Which exceeded 2020's total and their goal for this year.Ìý

Fager said they are still tallying last minute donations and will have a final number by the end of the week.Ìý
