(WSIL) -- The Alexander and Pulaski County NAACP's Evening of Inspiration is this weekend.
The virtual event is this Saturday, May 15 at 7 pm.
There will be a "watch party" at the Shawnee Community College Auditorium in Ullin, Illinois.
The event is focused on trying to heal racial tensions by opening up conversations.
"It's one of 6 events we've been putting together through the Healing Illinois Initiative. An initiative designed to bring thought leaders, influencers in our communities, to have healing conversations around racial reconciliation," said Lynne Chambers, the Executive Director of Legacy Training Inc.
The event is free and open to the public.
