CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- After much anticipation, Heather's Bakeshop & More held its Grand Opening in Downtown Carterville Saturday morning.
With a line stretching out the door, the Bakery was busy serving up cookies, muffins, breads and Cold Blooded Coffee, selling out of cinnamon rolls within its first hour. The Bakeshop has its roots in local farmer's markets, where they worked with customers to improve their recipes and plan for their brick-and-mortar debut.
The Owner Heather Lange says, she's excited about the opening and grateful for customers' support.
"They love the place, they love that we're here," says Lange. "Since the building closed down, they were excited that something filled it back up and get some downtown Carterville businesses going."
In addition to cinnamon rolls, you can also find muffins, energy bites and cookies, even some Keto options. Heather's Bakeshop is on North Division Street and is opened Tuesday through Friday 7-to-4 and Saturdays until Noon.
