* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Bluford man facing meth charge

MT. VERNON (WSIL) � Meth at a Mt. Vernon business leads to the arrest of a Jefferson County man.

Dedrick R. Bell, 41, of Bluford, was taken into custody Thursday after the Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division served a search warrant at 2312 Perkins Avenue.Ìý

Authorities found meth in the office area of Mr. B’s Elite Lawn and Homecare Makeover. A second business located at the same address was not involved.Ìý

Bell is charged with possession of meth with intent to deliver.Ìý

A preliminary hearing is set for June 18.Ìý
