* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois along and east of I-57,
southwest Indiana, and parts of west Kentucky nearest the Ohio
River.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT /10 AM EDT/ this morning.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.

The bridge is closed due to icing on the metal decking. The bridge will remain closed until temperatures rise sufficiently to melt the ice.Ěý

The 10-span bridge carries approximately 5,000 vehicles across the Ohio River each day between Paducah, KY, and Brookport, IL.
