Chilly but quiet weekend ahead

CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It's been a cold and cloudy day but a warming trend is around the corner.

The clouds will stick with us overnight and into the weekend. Temperatures will stay cold overnight, dipping into the upper teens and low 20s. 

By Saturday the cloud cover will stick around for many with high temperatures staying below normal, topping out near 40 degrees.

Sunshine and a warm up will begin by Sunday with high temperatures climbing back into the upper 40s. Have a great weekend!
