TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Boil water order lifted for customers in Cobden

COBDEN, ill. (WSIL) -- Certain water customers in Cobden are now able to drink their water as normal as a boil water order has been lifted.

The Village of Cobden Municipal Water Works first alerted the public after 9 a.m. on October 15, issuing the boil water order for customers on Joseph Street.

On October 17, the Cobden Municipal Water Works announced the boil water order had been lifted.
