ELDORADO, Ill. -- UPDATE: April 29, 10:14 a.m. - The boil water order has been lifted for all customers north of Eldorado and west of Highway 142. This includes water customers in Broughton, Walpole, Thompsonville, Galatia and Raleigh, according to the Saline Valley Conservancy District.
APRIL 24, 3:56 p.m. - A boil water order has been issued for several communities in Saline County after a water main break on Wednesday.
The Saline Valley Conservancy District (SVCD) has issued a boil water order for customers in Raleigh, Galatia, Thompsonville, Broughton, Walpole and areas north and northwest of Eldorado on April 24.
The SVCD stated the community of Eldorado is also under a boil water after a water main break in the city earlier on Wednesday.
Customers are to bring tap water to a rolling boil for five minutes before consumption.
