Boil water order lifted for Saline Valley Conservancy District customers

ELDORADO, Ill. (WSIL) -- A boil water order has been lifted for residents in Saline County and surrounding area.

The Saline Valley Conservancy District announced the boil water order on October 23 for customers in multiple communities. This comes after authorities informed residents of a water main break between Harrisburg and Eldorado on Tuesday night.

On October 24, the Saline Valley Conservancy District lifted the boil water order.

The boil water order was lifted for all Saline Valley rural customers off of Highway 13, west of State Road 142, on the following roads...

  • Old Highway 13
  • Carnahan Road
  • Pearce Road
  • Dogwalk Road
  • Rocky Branch Road
  • Pebble Road
  • Berry Road
  • College Road
  • Ingran Hill Road
  • Big Ridge Road
  • Lindale Road
  • Hines Chapel Road
  • Muddy Road
  • Wasson Road

The boil water order also affected customers in the following communities...

  • City of Harrisburg
  • Village of Carrier Mills
  • Southeastern Illinois College
  • Village of Stonefort
  • Burnside Water Department
  • Mitchellesville Water

The Saline Valley Conservancy District stated the individual towns will need to test and clear their boil orders for their customers.
