CARIO, IL (WSIL) - Residents living in the Cairo district will have a boil water order in effect starting at 7:00AM on Tuesday.Â
The news was released by Illinois American Water. The company says it will be performing maintenance at its Cairo water treatment plan.
The press release states, "During the boil water order, customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for five minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. Water can be used for bathing, washing and other common uses."
The boil water order is likely to last several days.
