Harrah's Hotel & Casino in Metropolis closes due to flooding

METROPOLIS, Ill. (WSIL) -- Harrah's Hotel & Casino in Metropolis have closed their doors due to flooding of the Ohio River.

Harrah's closed their doors at 5 p.m. on April 6. Team members have reached out and notified hotel guests who have reservations which have been canceled during the closure.

Hotel and casino staff members are monitoring river levels along the Ohio River and will reopen after flood levels have dropped.

As of 11:30 a.m. on April 7, the Ohio River gauge at Paducah is at 45.39 feet. This is expected to rise and crest on April 16, at 49.5 feet in the moderate flooding stage.
