METROPOLIS, Ill. (WSIL) -- More than 700 customers were reportedly out of power in southern Illinois, along with another 300 out in western Kentucky on Sunday morning.
Ameren stated there were 728 customers without power starting at 9:31 a.m. on June 15. The electric company also stated the cause of the outage is unknown at this time.
Down in western Kentucky, Carlisle County and McCracken County also experienced an outage in the morning hours.
As of 9:40 a.m., there were 155 customers out in Carlisle County, with 125 out in McCracken County.
