(WSIL) -- The 2020 Perry County Fair has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The announcement was made late Tuesday night on the fair's official . The fair was originally scheduled for June 15 through June 22, 2020.
Fair board members say due to Illinois' current Executive Order and "Restore Illinois" plan, the fair is just not possible this year.
The fairgrounds is hoping to still host the fall Demolition Derby in October.
