(WSIL) -- Schucks and Target have announced designated hours for senior shoppers.
The move comes a day after a similar policy.
it will reserve the first hour of shopping each Wednesday "to support vulnerable guests, including the elderly and those with underlying health concerns."
The retailer is also closing all its stores by 9 p.m. to restock and clean.
is designating 6 a.m. - 7 a.m. daily as "shopping time that is exclusively for our senior customers (age 60+) and for those who are most at risk of COVID-19 due to underlying health conditions."
The store is asking other customers to wait until 7 a.m. to do their shopping.
Schnucks says it will also temporarily close the majority of its "courtesy centers" so those employees can assist at checkout lanes.
