FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. -- Authorities are urging people to use alternative routes as traffic delays are expected in Franklin County after the total solar eclipse.
The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency (FCEMA) said there are countywide traffic delays expected on primary routes. This message came out around 3 p.m., moments after the total solar eclipse happened in the southern Illinois area.
The FCEMA stated motorists are urged to take alternative routes of travel during this time.
