Walmart shortening store hours

(CNN) -- Walmart is shortening hours at all its stores in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

The chain says the new hours will be 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Employees will work the same schedules, but the break will give them time to clean and restock shelves.

That's as worried customers rush to stock up on food, medicine and other supplies.

Grocery stores like Publix, Stop & Shop and HEB are also operating on modified schedules.
