UPDATE (2:30PM 7/23/20): All lanes in the previously effected area are now open.
JEFFERSON COUNTY (WSIL) -- A multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-57 at mile post 88 is forcing all lanes to close in the area.
The incident is classified as a "multi vehicle personal injury accident" at this time, and involves three semi trucks and one passenger car.
Illinois State Police are on scene and advise drivers to use alternate routes and to avoid the area.
