28-year-old arrested after police recover stolen vehicle

STEELE, Mo. -- One person was arrested after police recover a stolen vehicle near Steele.

Steele Police Department Chief Billy Joe Stanfield said his officer pulled over a 2010 Chevrolet truck on November 27, which was previously reported as stolen.

The driver of the truck was identified as Torrance Shepherd, 28 of Steele. Shepherd was arrested on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle.

He was also charged with possession of a controlled substances after allegedly having drugs on him at the time of the arrest.
