3 shooting victims identified in Western Kentucky

BEAVER DAM (WSIL) -- Ohio County Coroner Elvis Doolin has confirmed the identities of three of the four victims from a shooting in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.

On Thursday Kentucky State Police say a fourth body was found at a home where police were called for a shooting.

Officers responded Wednesday afternoon to a home near Beaver Dam to find three victims outside the residence with apparent gunshot wounds.

A statement from KSP said a detached structure near the home was ablaze and a body was found inside it Thursday morning.

The first three victims died from gunshot wounds and have been identified as:

  • Hunter L. Owings, 20 of Centertown, KY
  • Nora J. Owings, 44 of Beaver Dam, KY
  • Calvin Leisure Jr, 66 of Beaver Dam, KY

The forth victim discovered in the burned building has not yet been identified nor the manner of death.

Kentucky State Police detectives, Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office and the Ohio County Coroner's Office continue to investigate.
