CARLISLE CO., Ky. (WSIL) -- A Western Kentucky man faces multiple charges after investigators say they found child pornography on his phone and drugs at his home.
The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office said a deputy was following up on a stolen property investigation when evidence led to a search warrant of a cell phone belonging to Anthony Jared Dejarnatt, 32, of Cunningham, Ky.
The Paducah Police Department's Digital Forensics Unit analyzed the phone and recovered multiple items of child pornography on the device.
Investigators also obtained a search warrant for Dejarnatt's residence. There they seized several phones, computers and digital storage devices for future forensic analysis.
Along with the electronics, drug paraphernalia, Suboxone and Methamphetamine were seized. The Department of Social Services also removed two children from the residence and took them to a family member.
Dejarnatt was charged with the following:
- 5 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance of a minor
- 1 count of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance of a minor
- Possession of a controlled substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of a controlled substance 2nd Degree (Suboxone)
- Possession of a controlled substance not in proper container
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Investigators are anticipating further charges against Dejarnatt.
