FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL)-- A fight between juveniles leads to multiple stab victims.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says this happened in Whittington last night shortly after 10 pm.

There are currently two juvenile suspects and three juvenile victims.

One of those victims needed to be treated out of state for medical care.

Sheriff Kyle Bacon says detectives are out gathering more information and checking on the medical status of the three victims.

“Detectives are following up just to see how the victims are, Sheriff Bacon says. “We are also doing some follow-up and canvassing of the area where this occurred to see if we can obtain any further evidence that's of value to us, whether that be video or anything else.

The two juvenile suspects are being charged with mob action and three counts of aggravated battery.

The investigation is ongoing, and further charges are possible.

Bacon says the two juvenile suspects are set to be in court on May 5th.

None of the identities of suspects or victims are going to be released due to those involved being less than 18 years old.
