MURRAY, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Murray Police Department responded to a report of a raccoon being released into an open business on June 6, at around 9:18 p.m.

Police said the suspect left the scene and was identified as Jonathan Mason, 40, of Murray. Mason was later pulled over and refused to cooperate with officers by not rolling down his windows or exiting his vehicle, police stated.

Authorities then said he was then removed from the car and arrested.

The raccoon reportedly bit someone inside the business, and police said Mason had previously been warned not to enter the property.

Authorities charged Mason with several offenses, which are Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offense.

He was taken to Calloway County Jail.
