MARSHALL CO., Ky. (WSIL) -- A Kentucky teen has been sentenced to life in prison for a 2018 high school shooting.
Gabriel Parker was sentenced Friday afternoon during a hearing held via Skype.
Parker pleaded guilty in April to two counts of murder and 14 counts of assault in the January 2018 shooting at Marshall County High School.
Bailey Holt and Preston Cope, both 15, were killed in the shooting.
Cope's father and Holt's mother were among those who spoke during the sentencing hearing.
"It's unbearable to think about. Some days I'm not able to breath," said Secret Holt, Bailey's mother.
According to the judge, Parker will have the possibility of parole after serving 20 years.
