...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

McCracken County store burglary suspect arrested by police

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- UPDATE: June 25, 9:31 a.m. -- The burglary suspect has been arrested and taken to the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Facility. The sheriff's office said he is identified as a 15-year-old male from the Lone Oak area.

ORIGINAL: June 24, 9:42 a.m. -- The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at the Superway Market on Lone Oak Road and Charleston Avenue from Monday night.

Authorities said a man broke into the store around 9:30 p.m. on June 23, by breaking a window. The sheriff's office said he then took items from behind the register and left.

Officials believe the suspect lives nearby.
