One fugitive captured, another still wanted in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- UPDATE: Jan. 1, 3:56 p.m. -- Jerod Cobb was captured at 12:40 p.m. on Monday after deputies responded to a tip from an a resident.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said Cobb was found inside the Walmart in Herrin.

ORIGINAL: Dec. 27, 12:58 p.m. -- Authorities are looking for two people who are wanted out of Williamson County for charges which include theft and aggravated domestic battery.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office alerted the public they should not try to apprehend or detain these two fugitives as they are possibly dangerous.

Jerod Cobb, 40 of Carterville, is wanted for a charge of theft disp merch/possession burglary tools. He is 5'9", weighing 210 lbs., with red hair and green eyes.

Jordan Pethy, 32 of Cambria, is wanted on a charge for aggravated domestic battery/strangle. He is 5�10", weighing 235 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
