Paducah shooting suspect now in custody

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- A wanted man in connection to a shooting investigation from June 1, turned himself in on Monday.

The Paducah Police Department is investigating a shooting which they say happened on the morning of June 1, in the 5200-block of Parkside Drive.

Officers responded and reported finding evidence of the shooting at an apartment. A female victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

Tony M. Wilson was identified as the suspect by police. He is reported to be an acquaintance of the victim and is accused of fleeing before officers arrived, Paducah police said.

Police in Paducah updated the public, stating Tony Wilson turned himself in and was arrested on warrants charging him with Assault 1st Degree and Burglary 1st Degree.

Wilson was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
