CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) -- A Sikeston woman faces charges in relation to a shots fired investigation in Cape Girardeau.

Police in Cape Girardeau said their officers responded to the 800-block of Bloomfield Street on Thursday morning at 8 a.m. for a property damage report.

Once officers got there, they said they identified the suspect as Taniya Robinson, 33 of Sikeston.

Police said Robinson was involved in a fight the night before in her apartment and fired a gun to try to get the other person to leave. Police said one of the bullets hit a wall and went through into the next apartment.

There were no reports of injuries police said, however, Robinson was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.
