METROPOLIS, Ill. -- A man was arrested after police say they saw him grab someone by the hair and punched in the mouth domestic disturbance report in Metropolis.
The Metropolis Police Department said officers responded to a 911 call on September 12, at a home in the 700-block of East 12th Street.
Police said Cleyon R. Tanner, 47 of Metropolis, was there at the home and denied anything was wrong. A female was also there at the home with Tanner, police detailed in a report.
Metropolis police also said as officers were leaving, one of the officers saw Tanner grab the victim by the hair and punched her in the mouth.
Officers then arrested Tanner and he was taken to the Massac County Detention Center. According to online court records, Tanner faces charges of Domestic Battery and Felon in Possession of a Weapon.
