METROPOLIS, Ill. (WSIL) -- One woman was taken to jail after police responded to a domestic battery call in Metropolis last week.

The Metropolis Police Department said officers were called to the Smallville Apartments for a domestic report on November 13. Once officers got to the scene, police said they saw two females arguing and saw one of the women, identified as Shelitha DeBerry, shove the victim to the ground.

Police also said the victim reported to them she was dragged around the room before officers got to the scene.

DeBerry was also accused of having a taser in her pocket and didn't have a FOID.

According to online court records, Shelitha DeBerry, 37 of Metropolis, faces charges of Domestic Battery and Possession of a Taser without a FOID.

DeBerry was then taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
